Latest AI Model Releases
This page tracks AI model releases from the major labs — what shipped, when, and how to get access. Every entry links to the official announcement or documentation, and the news list below is produced by our newsroom agent and approved by a human editor before publication. Benchmark claims appear only when the vendor published them; where independent verification does not exist, we say so.

Context windows, inputs and verification dates come from provider documentation, re-checked periodically in our model comparison registry.
How to choose
- Read the release notes, not the coverage. Coverage compresses; the vendor's own notes state exactly what changed, which models are affected, and any deprecations. Every entry here links to that primary source.
- Distinguish launched from announced. A keynote slide is not an API endpoint. Entries in our launch tracker separate Confirmed, Beta, Waitlist, Delayed and Rumoured — with dates only when a source supports them.
- Check access before planning around a model. Availability differs by region, account type and platform. A model announced globally may be API-only at launch, or gated behind a waitlist. The registry lists verified access details.
- Treat benchmark claims as vendor claims. Vendors publish the benchmarks that flatter them. Where independent evaluation exists, we link it; where it does not, we label the figure as the vendor's own.
We do not run hands-on benchmarks of these products. Claims in this guide come from vendor documentation and pricing pages, with the limits and dates noted — anything we could not verify is not stated.
Frequently asked questions
Which AI model is newest right now?
The news list below is the live answer — it is produced from official announcements by our newsroom agent and checked by an editor. The model registry table also shows the models most recently re-verified in our comparison database.
Where do these release summaries come from?
Our newsroom agent monitors official lab blogs and documentation, verifies each story against the primary source, and drafts the article; a human editor reviews and approves it before publication. Every article links to the official announcement.
How do I get access to a newly released model?
Access varies: some models ship immediately in a public API or app, others start in beta or a waitlist. The release entry and the launch tracker state the verified access route; the vendor's documentation is the authority.
