What is Devin Desktop (formerly Windsurf)?

Devin Desktop is the new name for Windsurf, the AI code editor owned by Cognition. It keeps the full IDE but puts an Agent Command Center first, where you plan, delegate and review work by local agents and Devin cloud agents. Existing Windsurf plans, settings and extensions carry over in an automatic update.

Developers juggling several AI agents lack a single place to manage them. Devin Desktop combines an editor with agent management.
